London-based Artist P. Singh Exhibits at Qatar International Art Exhibition 2025

London-based artist P. Singh successfully showcased his artworks Woven Legacies at the Qatar International Art Exhibition 2025, held at Katara Cultural Village in Doha. The exhibition concluded yesterday, marking the end of a vibrant week-long celebration of global art.
Through large-scale acrylic works on canvas, Woven Legacies explored themes of heritage, memory, and cultural continuity.
Selected artworks by Singh’s daughter, Rhoslyn Singh, were also featured, reflecting the encouragement of an emerging generation of artists.
Reflecting on the exhibition, Singh shared that Woven Legacies is rooted in the idea of culture as something carefully carried forward through generations. One of the centrepieces of the collection, Unfolding Heritage (3m × 1.5m), depicts a wooden chest opening to release a flowing Persian carpet.

“The chest represents time itself,” Singh notes, “while the carpet becomes a living symbol of memory, patterns, and stories that continue to unfold across generations.”
Another notable work, The Weaver’s Song (2m × 1.5m), pays tribute to the often-unseen labour of women artisans. The painting portrays a woman immersed in the act of weaving, her quiet concentration reflecting patience and inherited wisdom.

“Her hands carry history,” Singh explains. “Each thread becomes a voice — a melody of devotion and identity passed down through time.”
The third highlighted artwork, Bazaar of Time (2m × 1.5m), captures the vibrancy of a Persian or Arabic marketplace filled with antique objects and woven goods. Here, the Persian carpet emerges as both cultural expression and livelihood.

“In the bazaar,” Singh says, “beauty itself becomes a means of survival, and tradition renews itself through exchange.”
This year’s exhibition brought together 868 artists from 87 countries, reinforcing its status as one of the region’s most diverse international art platforms.
All the artworks exhibited under Woven Legacies were sold out during the festival, a highly encouraging outcome for artist P. Singh and a strong affirmation of the series’ international resonance.
Having lived in the UK for nearly two decades, Singh has exhibited his work across the United States, Nepal, India, Qatar, and the UK, including prestigious venues such as the House of Lords, Universal Peace Federation, Hawth Theatre Crawley, and the Embassy of Nepal in London, where his exhibition ran for two weeks and was formally recognised for promoting Nepali culture through art.
Alongside his full-time role as a software engineer at SMBC Bank London, Singh has held more than a dozen exhibitions worldwide.
