London – Nepali mental health advocate Shreeya Giri, Founder of Happy Minds, has been honoured as one of the 50 Women of the Future Rising Stars at a ceremony held at the Financial Times headquarters in London on Monday.

The recognition celebrates her work in promoting mental health awareness, building emotional resilience, and creating spaces of care for youth and the wider Nepali community, both at home and abroad, the organisers said.

“As a Nepali start-up founder working in the mental health space, this recognition is deeply personal,” said Ms. Giri. “It reflects the collective spirit of young Nepalis who continue to bring light, care, and courage in times when our nation needs it most.”

Amid ongoing national challenges, Happy Minds has been working with diverse brands and partners to mobilise investment in mental health awareness, subsidise mental healthcare, and offer safe community spaces where people can talk openly about their mental wellbeing. The organisation’s initiatives have reached workplaces, youth networks, and rural communities, helping make mental health care accessible, relatable, and stigma-free.

Previously, Forbes Asia listed Ms. Giri in its 30 Under 30 – Social Impact category, recognising her pioneering contributions to mental health advocacy and youth leadership.

The Women of the Future: 50 Rising Stars in ESG programme, supported by Tesco, Reed Smith LLP, and the Financial Times, honours young women globally who are leading meaningful change in environment, sustainability, and governance.
