London – A senior tech expert with Genese Solution – a UK-based IT and cyber security consulting company, has said the future of cloud is agent powered.

Addressing the virtual Nepal meetup of the Amazon Web Services Users group (AUG) entitled “AWS re:Invent 2025 Recap: Global highlights and local insights,” global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Genese Solution, Niranjan Kunwar, said that Amazon Web Services (AWS) made it very clear the platform is becoming an agent first.

Kunwar, who recently attended the AWS re:Invent summit in Las Vegas, along with CEO of Genese Solution Anjani Phuyal, said that AWS is embedding AI agents directly in how the cloud is built, operated and secured. “They have made few really important announcements. Devop agents generate codes, answer questions and also help design architecture. They can monitor systems and productions. They support the entire devops lifecycle.”

Mr Kunwar said that security agents can continuously monitor the environment, detect suspicious behaviour and even trigger remediation in real time. “The agent helps security into a continuous proactive mode. Kero agent focuses on modernisation and helps orgs accelerate modernisation journeys. It’s particularly powerful for orgs with large complex legacy things. The bigger idea becomes clear. AI is no longer add on features in the cloud, it’s becoming an operating system. We are moving from humans operating the clouds to humans supervising the agents that operate the cloud. Powering these AI agents are new Nova 2 models. Nova 2 comes in 3 different variants and each is optimised for specific tasks,” he added.

The future of cloud is agent powered and it’s already here. Now is the time to learn and show that we can do it from Nepal, he said.

Mr Kunwar said that Genese Solution had pitched its AI-Driven Campaigns in GUMP that could support banks and fintech companies to engage customers with timely, relevant, and personalized messaging.

GUMP, a product by Genese Solution, was recognized as one of the top five Agentic AI solutions for the SMB market segment at the recently concluded AWS Shark Tank competition, co-hosted by AWS and Ingram Micro at the AWS re:invent. GUMP is an AI-powered campaign platform that helps businesses of all types and sizes engage their customers with timely, relevant, and personalized messaging. Genese solution was joined by companies from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and the United States of America as finalists.

“GUMP showcased the competitiveness of Genese engineers and developers that is at par with the global level. “We are so happy to see that the software we have developed is being taken seriously in the global marketplace,” said Mr Kunwar.

Amit Joshi, VP, Project Management at Genese Solution, made a presentation regarding various features of AWS. “Python is the new assembly. Security starts at prompt time and governance moves upstream. We should use the best models, adopt agents carefully and over-invest in validation,” he added.

Roshani Shrestha, Info Security Analyst at F1soft and a member of AWS user group Nepal), narrated her recent journey to take part in the re:Invent event. I was doing an internship at esewa. I applied for a fellowship and got an opp to take part in Las Vegas. It was a dream come true. She advised students and early career professionals to apply as soon as the fellowship is advertised.

The event brought together AUG members, professionals, experts and academics to discuss the latest trends in global technology.
