UESC Nepal Signs MoU with Subodh Foundation UK

Kathmandu, Nepal, 1 December 2025– Universal Engineering and Science College (UESC), Nepal, and Subodh Foundation, UK, have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster academic collaboration, research support, and opportunities for higher education and employment for UESC graduates in the United Kingdom.

The MoU was signed by Dr Bhesh Raj Thapa, Principal of UESC, and Er Subodh Timilsina, Chair of Trustees of the Subodh Foundation, UK. The agreement aims to expand opportunities for higher studies, enhance employment prospects for UESC graduates in the UK, and establish long-term institutional partnerships between the two organisations.

The foundation has been actively supporting students at Pulchowk Campus, various secondary schools, and across bachelor’s and master’s programmes, benefiting more than 28 students to date. Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Mandip Subedi, Director of UESC, highlighted the Subodh Foundation’s long-standing contributions to Nepal’s education sector.

He emphasised that this MoU will further strengthen research support, scholarship opportunities, and collaborative academic initiatives, ultimately enhancing the overall educational landscape of Nepal.

The newly signed MoU outlines key areas of collaboration, including providing annual research scholarships for UESC graduate students, facilitating joint activities such as events, training, and scholarship programmes, supporting higher education and employment opportunities in the UK for UESC graduates, and promoting mutual institutional strengthening through academic partnerships.


The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Er Gajendra Kumar Jha, Vice Principal of UESC. The event was attended by Subodh Foundation trustees Mrs Babita Timilsina and Ms Ajeena Timilsina, along with UESC faculty members and students.

This collaboration is expected to open new horizons for Nepali engineering students, fostering academic excellence and global engagement in the years ahead.
