UK-Based Engineer Timilsina Extends Congratulations to Nepal’s Newly Appointed PM

London: Nepal has entered a historic new chapter with the appointment of Rt. Hon. Sushila Karki as the nation’s Interim Prime Minister. Warm congratulations and messages of support are pouring in from across the country and the diaspora.

In his message, Subodh Timilsina, Director of PMPS Consulting UK and President of SONEUK (Society of Nepalese Engineers UK), extended his heartfelt congratulations and gratitude.

Timilsina said he understands that her primary responsibilities include delivering a fair national election, maintaining law and order to ensure peace and stability, and safeguarding neutrality so that government institutions and resources are not misused, thereby strengthening public trust.

Acknowledging the immense challenges ahead, he expressed strong confidence in Karki’s leadership:

“It is tough and extremely difficult, but we collectively wish the Interim Prime Minister and her team the very best for delivering a successful and historic tenure,” he said.

Timilsina also stressed that, alongside elections, shaping Nepal’s Development Plan and Strategies (NDPaS) must be prioritised. “We cannot afford to wait for the new parliament to begin this work. The country is now embarking on a new era of development, and our full and unconditional support is with the Interim Government in all its constructive and legislative endeavours,” he added.

He further noted that engineers and professionals worldwide stand ready to support the Interim Government, pledging to mobilise global expertise if required.
