London — Nepali author Sangita Swechcha was among the featured writers at the Multicultural Book Fair 2025, held yesterday at Conway Hall, London.

Swechcha met readers, signed copies of her latest book Rose’s Odyssey (Book Hill International), and spoke with visitors about her wider body of work. She was also one of the performing poets at the event, where she recited her poem Elaspsed Time.

Throughout the day, poets and authors performed and interacted with an encouraging number of visitors, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere.

Event Manager Hanna Stanislaus CF said: “It was a successful event, inclusive and we are glad that we could include a wide range of publisher, book sellers, authors and guest poets. It was amazing to see cultures blend in this book fair.”

Reflecting on the experience, Sangita Swechcha said: “This was an amazing opportunity for me and other authors of colour at this book fair. It was very encouraging and welcoming, and I was glad to share my books, sign them, and talk about Nepali literature.”
