नेपाली लिङ्क अगस्ट २३, २०२५

The Non-Resident Nepali Association, USA (NRNA USA) is set to launch a special tourism magazine titled “Visit Nepal 2025” in Kathmandu later this month. The official unveiling will be conducted by the Honorable Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Mr. Badri Prasad Pandey, at the ministry’s auditorium on August 29, 2025.

The initiative marks an important milestone in promoting Nepal’s tourism globally and highlights the commitment of the Nepali diaspora to contribute to the country’s economic and cultural development.

Prepared over the course of a year, the magazine is the result of a collaborative effort involving tourism experts, writers, and members of the Nepali diaspora. It features memoirs and travel experiences of American citizens who have visited Nepal and experienced its rich culture, heritage, and natural beauty. The publication also contains analytical articles by leading figures in Nepal’s tourism sector, along with insights on potential investment opportunities for American businesses, making it both a promotional tool and a strategic resource for policymakers, investors, and travellers alike.

Prof. Prabhat Dixit, head of the magazine’s publication committee, said the magazine was designed to increase the number of American visitors to Nepal and to highlight potential investment opportunities in the tourism sector. He explained that the publication would be distributed widely among American policymakers, tourism entrepreneurs, community leaders, and social activists, while also being introduced to the broader American public through targeted cultural programs. Copies of the magazine will also be placed in public libraries across U.S. states, ensuring long-term accessibility and visibility.

The project was initiated by Mr. Netra Pandey, Vice President of NRNA USA and Director of its Trade and Tourism Department. In a statement, Mr. Pandey described the magazine as more than a publication, calling it “a movement to position Nepal as a must-visit destination.” He urged Nepalis living in the United States to actively support the initiative and help ensure the magazine reaches its intended audience.

Adding his endorsement, Mr. Som Nath Sapkota, Deputy General Secretary and Chair of the Tourism Promotion Committee of NRNA ICC, called the initiative a landmark effort. “This is a great initiative, and this magazine will be a milestone in promoting Nepal’s tourism in the USA and globally,” he said. Mr. Sapkota emphasized that NRNA has been actively promoting Nepal internationally by organizing large-scale cultural events such as Nepal Festival, Nepal Mela, Nepal Day, and other mass-based programs. These events, he noted, have successfully showcased Nepal’s traditions, cuisine, and heritage to international communities, helping to strengthen the country’s global identity.

The launch of Visit Nepal 2025 builds on NRNA’s long-standing efforts to bridge Nepal with the global community. Through cultural showcases, tourism promotion, and investment facilitation, the organization has positioned Nepal as an attractive destination for travelers and investors alike. The magazine continues this mission, providing both inspiration and practical information to those interested in exploring Nepal.

The launch event is expected to bring together senior government officials, tourism industry leaders, diaspora representatives, and international well-wishers. Beyond being a magazine release, it symbolizes the shared determination of the Nepali diaspora and the government to make tourism a pillar of Nepal’s economic growth. As Nepal prepares for the “Visit Nepal 2025” campaign, the magazine’s release in Kathmandu is both timely and strategic, reflecting the combined efforts of the Nepali diaspora, the tourism industry, and the government to showcase Nepal’s breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality to the world.

The event will take place on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the auditorium of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation in Kathmandu.
