Nepal Tech Roadshow UK 2026: Connecting Nepal and UK Tech

On 9th September, the Nepal Tech Roadshow UK 2026 brought together 17 Nepali technology companies with representatives from the UK’s business, investment and technology communities. Held in London, the event created an opportunity to discuss collaboration, international market access and long-term commercial partnerships.

Supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and organised by DAI Global in partnership with the Nepal Association for Software and IT Services Companies (NAS-IT), the roadshow focused on Nepal’s growing capability in software and product development, IT services, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud and data solutions, financial technology and digital transformation.

The participating companies were Aakash Tech, AITC International, Code Pixelz Media, Coding Mountain, Dots and Dashes Technology Services, e.K. Bana Solutions, Eminence Ways, FOCUS, Genese Solution, Ingrails, Jasper IT, Mantra Ideas, Proshore Nepal, Techkraft, Tekkon Technologies, Web Experts Nepal and Young Innovations.

A Partnership Opportunity



The UK is a major global technology market, with particular strengths in financial technology, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud services and digital innovation. Nepal, as a newer digital economy, has an opportunity to adopt secure, modern and scalable technologies without carrying the same level of legacy infrastructure as more established markets.

Combined with a growing technical workforce and experience delivering for international clients, this creates a strong basis for partnership: UK market access, investment and business networks alongside Nepal’s agile and increasingly innovative technology sector.

Prithvi Narayan Shah, widely regarded as the unifier and founder of modern Nepal, famously described the country as “a yam between two boulders”, referring to its position between India and China. While this geography has brought strategic challenges, it also gives Nepal an important role in the region. Constructive relationships with its neighbours, alongside closer UK engagement, can support dialogue, trade and technology partnerships.

Speakers and Perspectives



NAS-IT Vice-President Bibhusan Bista outlined the current capability of Nepal’s technology sector and opportunities for international growth. Bipin Duwadi, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Nepal in London, spoke about Nepal–UK relations and the scope for closer cooperation.

Anup Shrestha, Head of Trade and Investment at the British Embassy in Kathmandu, and Biraj Bhatt, President of the Britain Nepal Chamber of Commerce, discussed the potential to strengthen trade, investment and commercial links between Nepal and the UK.

The programme also included sector-focused presentations. Nirdesh Dua, co-founder of inGrails, discussed Nepal’s product-development capability, technical talent and potential to scale solutions for international markets.

Dr Vaghawan Ojha, Head of Artificial Intelligence at EKbana, addressed artificial intelligence, research, data, experimental technologies and enterprise software engineering.

 Anjani Phuyal, Chief Executive Officer of Genese Solution, and Suraj Gyawali, Chief Technology Officer of Simplified Solution, shared their experience of working internationally across cloud technology, fintech, cybersecurity and digital transformation.

Ratish Basnet, Team Leader for Growth Advisory at Nepal in Business, spoke about private-sector development, trade and investment, policy reform and wider access to global markets.

UK Engagement



The event welcomed representation from the West London Chamber of Commerce and the Britain Nepal Chamber of Commerce. Alan Rides, Chief Executive of the West London Chamber of Commerce, noted the presence of technology companies including Apple, Cisco and Microsoft in the wider area, underlining the strength of West London’s business and technology ecosystem.

The recently signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber and Nepal’s private-sector representatives provides a useful foundation for future cooperation. The priority now is to turn that foundation into practical activity, sustained engagement and commercially meaningful partnerships.

The roadshow enabled participating Nepali technology companies to engage with UK businesses, investors and industry stakeholders. Discussions covered commercial partnerships, investment, outsourcing and international expansion, while the networking dinner provided further opportunities to build relationships.

What Comes Next



The UK leg of the roadshow has created a starting point for further engagement between Nepali technology companies and the UK business community. Its value will depend on continued dialogue, targeted introductions and a shared commitment to developing practical partnerships.

The NAS-IT delegation will now continue to Zurich, Switzerland, for the next stop of the roadshow.

NAS-IT expressed appreciation to Nepal in Business, implemented by DAI Global UK, for its support as an event partner. Thanks were also extended to the Embassy of Nepal in London, the British Embassy in Kathmandu, the Britain Nepal Chamber of Commerce, the West London Chamber of Commerce, speakers, participating companies, UK business representatives, investors, technology leaders and other stakeholders.
