London- On Friday (13th March), a meeting was held at the Embassy of Nepal, London between Chairperson of the Society of Nepali Engineers UK (SONEUK), Er. The discussion focused on a collaborative initiative between the Embassy of Nepal and SONEUK to organise an event on 23 June at the Embassy of Nepal, London, to celebrate the International Women in Engineering Day. The proposed event aims to recognise and celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in engineering, while also encouraging greater participation of women in the engineering profession.

During the meeting, Chargé d’affaires a.i. Mr Duwadi and and SONEUK Chairperson Er. The conversation further explored opportunities for Nepali engineers living in the UK to engage more closely with the Embassy, contribute to future initiatives, and strengthen professional networking within the community.

Mr Duwadi also emphasised the importance of encouraging greater participation from young engineers within the Nepali diaspora in events and activities organised by the Embassy.
