Subodh Foundation UK Excellence Award Presented to Brunel University Graduate


London- The Subodh Foundation UK Excellence Award has been presented to Ms Rimaisa, a graduate of the MSc Public Health and Health Promotion programme at Brunel University London, in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement.
Ms Rimaisa achieved the highest overall grade profile in her cohort, as approved by the Global Public Health Examination Board, earning her the Subodh Foundation UK Excellence Award for the 2025/26 academic year.
She was also awarded the Dr Jeshika Singh Memorial Prize for achieving the highest dissertation mark within her graduating cohort.
Her dissertation was a qualitative systematic review examining the barriers and facilitators affecting the implementation of the Polio Eradication Initiative.

The research highlighted several challenges affecting eradication efforts, including mistrust, misinformation, campaign fatigue, workforce and security concerns, and weaknesses in coordination.
The study emphasised the importance of addressing both community and institutional barriers when implementing major public health programmes, particularly those requiring sustained engagement with local communities.
Through its Excellence Award, Subodh Foundation UK recognizes outstanding academic achievement and aims to encourage students and young professionals whose work can make a meaningful contribution to society and public wellbeing.
