SONEUK celebrates Nepali New Year 2083 BS

London- The Society of Nepalese Engineers in the UK (SONEUK) organised a social event to celebrate Nepali New Year 2083, bringing together around 50 members of the Nepali community for networking, cultural exchange, and community engagement.

The event was led and hosted jointly by Sangita Pokhrel, Secretary of SONEUK, and Srijana Khadka , Social sub-committee member highlighting the importance of such gatherings in strengthening professional networks and preserving cultural heritage among Nepalis living abroad.

The programme began with a welcome address by Dr Surya Nath Ghimire (CPD Coordinator), followed by remarks from Chairperson Subodh Timilsina.

The event started with a ramp walk by SONEUK members and families showcasing cultural dresses . Then it featured several cultural performances by Srijana Paudel (dance), Manoj Kapri (poem), Suraj Ale Magar (singing with guitar), Ajeena Timilsina and Yatharth Shrestha (joint singing), and a magic performance by Pranabh Regmi.

In addition to this there was an interactive bingo and quiz session organised for all participants. Winners received prizes including cash rewards, a meal voucher for two, and sponsored gifts.
